Kitchens/Apartments

For smaller spaces, like kitchens or apartments, I recommend the Standard Normal Edge. Small enough to fit in these spaces but large enough to comfortably fit between 4 and 6 people. The vast majority of games and puzzles will fit on it and the single piece topper will prevent any spilled liquids from getting on your stored pieces. The felt pad or play mat can be easily removed for cleaning if necessary.

Dining Rooms

For larger spaces, like dining rooms, I recommend either the Standard Medium Edge or The Standard Wide Edge. If puzzles are your main focus, go with the medium. For boardgames, D&D, or Warhammer, go with the wide. Both of these will comfortably fit between 6 and 8 and possible more if you want to squeeze them in. I also recommend going with the red oak board upgrade for tables in this space. This will look nice and will wear better over the years.

Game Rooms

These rooms are your playground and this is where you should spend some time crafting the perfect table for your needs. I recommend a custom sized wide edge table with cupholders. This will give you plenty of space for your game in the play area along with elbow room, space for cards, and a spot for your drink. Do some measuring and make sure your most expansive game will fit in the play area. I also recommend making this table counter top height. It can be uncomfortable sitting in a chair for the entirety of a long game. The taller table with stools allows you to stand or sit to play. Grab some GM Shelves too so that anyone running a game has that much more space.
