What kind of wood is the table made of?

The edge, skirt, and legs are made of yellow pine. The topper and play area are made of furniture grade hardwood plywood (red oak). All pieces of lumber are individually selected, planed, sanded, and stained with great care. You can upgrade the edge boards to red oak for an additional fee (see the Accessories and Options page).

What are the lead times?

I build all of my tables to order. Because of this my back-log can sometimes be fairly long. Reach out to me to find out my most up to date lead times or check out my Lead Times & Promotions page.

How does shipping work?

If you are able, the easiest route to take is to pick up the table yourself. If you are within a couple hundred miles of Augusta, GA I will delivery it myself for a fee. Otherwise I use private shippers to deliver my tables. These shippers are all fully insured. I can usually estimate shipping cost accurately, but I will not know the final cost until the table is nearly ready to ship.

Is a topper included with the table?

Yes! A topper is included in the price for all of my tables. Most of my tables offer a single piece topper but my larger ones may require a multi-piece.

How do you remove the topper from the table?

Do you want the long answer or the short answer? Long answer first:

There is an old story about how when NASA was first planning on sending manned missions into space they had to develop a writing utensil that would work in zero gravity. The ink pens of the time relied on gravity to deliver the ink to the paper and just would not write in space. Millions of dollars were spent and countless man hours were exhausted to finally develop the solution. A Zero G Pen! What did the Russians do?

They used a pencil.

That story may not be true at all but it teaches a valuable lesson. The simple solution is many times the best solution.

Short answer:

There is a hole on the bottom of one end of the table. Insert a pencil into the hole and push upwards to lift the topper, allowing you to then easily remove. A pencil is provided with every purchase.

Do you offer cup holders?

Yes, I offer cup holders for my wide edge tables. See accessory page for more details. On the normal and medium edges my customers usually purchase a clip on cupholder.

How does the order process work?

First send me an inquiry via the order page or email me directly. You will deal directly with me and I will keep up with you personally over the entire process. I will provide you with the latest lead time and an estimated shipping price. Once you have decided what you want and I will ask for a 50% deposit (not including potential shipping costs) to put you on the schedule. I will provide regular updates including pictures as your table is built.

I have something specific in mind, can you build it?

Ask away! Many of my best ideas have come directly from our customers and are now standard offerings. If I cannot do it, I will be honest with you. If I can, I will provide a quote.

Your tables look great, but they are out of my price range.

This is exactly why I offer the Unfinished Tables. Anyone can use a brush. And if you can pick up locally you can get a very nice game table with a steep discount provided just a little elbow grease. Check out my Promotions Page for any ongoing deals.
